    1. I have grown fava beans for fresh market, but have not tried them as a fodder crop. In our climate they make a good winter cover crop, but given our soggy soils I'd be worried that winter grazing would damage soil structure. It may be possible to grow fava beans as a summer hay crop, though I suspect its succulent nature would make it hard to cure properly.
